Myrtle Beach Great Place To Live

Allow This Myrtle Beach Local To Tell You Why This City Makes A Great Home

Myrtle Beach SCMyrtle Beach is one of the top Spring Break destinations in the US and also one of the top beach vacation spots for families. While the city is all about travel and tourism, it is also a great place to call home. Having lived in Myrtle Beach on the oceanfront for the last five years, I can tell you all kinds of reasons I love living here. For starters, there is nothing like experiencing the changes that come with the seasons here.

In fact, each season is a new season, and there is nothing quite like Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I have personally lived in four other cities in different states for extended periods, and Myrtle Beach is by far my favorite. There are the cons to consider as well so that you make the best decision for you. For example, the jobs don’t pay that well here, and many of them can also be seasonal.

While you do need a job and a reason to live here, when it’s right, it’s right. You can soak up the sun and even enjoy the beach almost all to yourself during the off-season. It does take some getting used to because the city literally gets flooded with tourists for months. You have to be able to go with the flow.

Considering Myrtle Beach is a top tourist destination, you will never run out of things to do. Just don’t have too much fun all at once because you have bills to pay. If you move to Myrtle Beach, you have plenty of time to get around to seeing all there is to do. Trust me, I’ve seen and done so much here already in just the short five years I’ve lived on the beach.

Things to do in Myrtle Beach

On the oceanfront, I enjoy taking in the scenery while I am working. I write for a living, and as I write this, mid April is approaching. Spring Break is in full swing, Easter is around the corner and the season officially starts May 1st. Real estate and property taxes are cheap here, so don’t think you are in over your head trying to find a good spot close to the beach. Even oceanfront condos are available still at well under 100k. Pick a spot and get to figuring out what life is going to be like for you living on the Grand Strand. It is grand indeed!
